Herpes. Sounds already not so good.
Usual therapy is Acyclovir ointment every 4-5 hours to apply on affected site and Acyclovir and related tablets orally which usually brings problems with liver due to hepatotoxicity. But recently it started to appear herpes mostly HSV1 but sometimes HSV2 which does not respond to Acyclovir. At all. You apply topically and expect relief and there is no relief, instead it progresses and brings a lot of suffering for next 10 and more days.
But it was found that my favorite Licorice inhibits both HSV1/HSV2 and prevents adhesion to cell. In other words it closes door to herpes as it closes door to coronavirus. I like licorice more and more.
Therefore it is recommended to apply topically licorice contained ointment or directly extract of glychirrizin (aqueous or alcohol based) as soon as possible when you feel the tingling on lip etc and to have cup of tea and to continue to have it for next 2-3 days.
If you add to licorice also Lactobacteria Acidofillus it will work even stronger
As well as silver ointment. (Silver equally works good against both Herpes and Vampires:)
But what is most amusing that simple lemon balm also protects against against herpes and recently it was found that it protects also in case of Acyclovir resistant HSV.
So all what you need to apply it to the affected place. Obviously I strongly recommend you to use some buffer oil to dilute it as you can not apply essential oil directly to the skin, otherwise you can use aqueous extract of Melissa officinalis (official name of Lemon balm) 70:1
The same story as with Licorice you can have a cup of tea 1 tea spoon on 300 ml once a day of Melissa along with topical application in first day of occurrence.
Melissa is well known for its antidepressant abilities. So now it has been added one more.
Life saver for all herpes owners
Duet with Lysine 1500 mg and Monolaurin 2000 mg can be considered as well in acute beginning to prevent further progression and to continue with 1000 mg each for next 3-5 days.
You can apply Monolaurin topically mixed it with licorice for better effect.
Zn sulfate is efficacious alone for prevention and treatment for both HSV1 and HSV2 in concentration of 4% and especially when it is combined together with Punica granatum (Pomegranate) peel and fruit extracts. In all patients, pain, tingling and burning stopped entirely within first 24 h of ZnSO4 4% application.
Fruit of Indian gooseberry/ Amla( Emblica officinalis) has strong virucidal activity against all family of HSV, HPV, as well other viruses, especially effective together with Docosanol even in smallest possible concentration as 2% topical cream, since it has synergistic effect. Prevents appearances of lesions if applies on first burning sensation. Prevents progression of lesions if these appeared.
Personal experience I mixed pomegranate peel with amla, added zinc sulfate 4% and shea butter. Applied on a lip on immediately when felt burning sensation and lesions were not appeared ,also burning stopped instantly. I advise to apply every 2 hrs in first day and if lesion was appeared to continue for next 3 days. In my practice it was lesion on a lip which significantly reduced in 24 hrs and vanished without crusting in 72 hrs
In commercial pharmacies you can find cream Silaut -it works perfectly too and also suitable for vaginal lesions
Found in all pharmacies
I recommend also to take Amla and Pomegranate extracts orally. Both 1000 mg in first hour and then 500 mg every 8 hrs for 5 days .
